Oral History

Oral History

This will amount to the strongest claim and the one that there is no sensible counter to.  The many different Bantu tribes scattered around the continent of Africa who for thousands, if not hundreds, of years have been separated and developed differing dialects and languages and customs.  They are not even aware of each other’s existence, YET, have retold to different degrees, the SAME stories.

They have all given in their oral histories, their ancient travel story from the North or North east of the continent and then settling in their present area.  Some have said openly that they are the Children of Israel and still carry customs which can be instantly recognised as having a Hebrew origin while others just say they travelled down from the North.

The details arent exact within all the tribes but the travel from the North is uniform.  Some tribes have remembered virtually everything concerning their history down to the areas in Canaan they were in and the tribe name and all their history.

Others only have some customs and rituals that they have passed down as memories to their descendants. Some Ethiopian tribes have very clear and detailed historical memories which are in print and have been recorded which cannot simply be denied or not accepted.

Then there are the Lemba Bantus, in South Africa, who were DNA tested and found to have very high genetic link to other priestly castes around the world.  The Lemba also have an oral history which talks of coming from Israel and travelling through Arabia rather than down the Nile to their present location.  The Lemba had a very detailed history which was traced and confirmed.

Other Tribes in Africa also have an oral history which follows the same pattern of coming from northern Arabia or the Levant and travelling in to the main continent of Africa.  The Igbo of Nigeria have a strong Oral tradition of being from the Children of Israel and have similar traditions which talk of travel from the North.  They also have customs and a culture which resonate with Old Testament practices.

The Akans who are a group of tribes in the West African region of which there are many sub-tribes, such as the Ashanti, that all have customs and traditions which have striking similarities to the ancient Hebrew people which are too numerous to catalogue here.

The Ashanti of Ghana are another tribe that have many customs and practices which are virtually identical to Old Testament practices which predate Christianity in that area.  These customs and practices are  identical to the ancient Hebrew practices.  Foreign scholars who had studied the Ashanti independently identified them as relating to the Hebrew people.

The Ga people of Ghana also have the same story of being related to the ancient Hebrews and have rituals and customs which were biblical practices, again even before Christianity had even been brought to the area.

These are only a few of the tribes that have claimed a Hebrew heritage.  There are others that have very similar stories and traditions but who are less vocal in their remembrance of their Hebrew past.  So, many of the Bantu tribes who claim a Hebrew past but have not met and collaborated in a conspiracy to fool the world yet they talk independently of one another and in ignorance of one another’s practices and culture.

Yet, they all have a similar story, history, customs and claim.

At this point we either have to accuse them all of being liars and conspirators in a grand scheme or we have to look at the strength of the fact we have independent reports that verify and corroborate each others claim. The likelihood of their coming together and trying to defraud humanity is so highly unlikely that it could only be a real option in the mind of a person that neither relies on evidence nor deductive reasoning.   We make no appeal to a mind such as this.

The only logical or credible conclusions remaining are:

  • the tribes are truthful and are the descendants of the Children of Israel or,
  • they all came from a culture which claimed to be the Children of Israel but knew they were not.  If they were not Banu Israel but claimed illegitimately then surely there would be other evidence to demonstrate that these tribes were  actually someone else and had a completely different history. To date none of this evidence has come to light. No other tribes have come along claiming to hold definitive evidence that any of the tribes were a different people to other than what was claimed.

If the English claimed they were of Indian stock this could be easily countered by the fact they appear not to look like other Indians but phenotype can change over time.  Language can also change for a number of reasons so this could not be a full proof indicator that they were not of Indian stock.  Other tribes who had encounters with the English could easily verify that they were of Indian stock or bring virtually definitive proof to demonstrate that they were not by, establishing historically where they were geographically at a different time to when they claimed they were in a particular place.  So, the Irish or the Welsh could give a definitive proof that the English were in England for at least 1500 years before.

To further make the point;

The Germanic tribes in northern Europe could easily establish that their brethren who are claiming Indian descent couldn’t possibly be Indian because they were their own tribe’s men who left for England at about the same time that Britain was being populated by the Teutonic tribes of northern Europe.

Then there is the simple issue of;  for what reason would the English claim to be other then what they were. This would have to be established first with evidence that they had in fact wanted to claim an identity other than their own. The jigsaw of history could easily be used to establish or refute such huge claims.

If we now switch to the Bantu tribes we have no example of one tribe doing either of these things to each other, rather quite the opposite.  Other tribes have a similar story of their own which would, in fact, add extra weight to each other’s claims.  Taken collectively all of the other tribes corroborate and verify their own origin.
